Basket Cross Analysis

Overview 

The Basket Cross Analysis Dashboard provides insights into product relationships within transaction baskets. It enables brands, producers, and retailers to identify which products, categories, or brands are most frequently purchased together, highlighting opportunities for cross-selling strategies and product bundling. 

 

Key Metrics Available 

  • Cross Analysis Metrics
    • % of All Transactions: Percentage of all transactions where the selected focus item and another item appear together. 
    • % of Focus Transactions: Percentage of the selected focus multi-item transactions that include the other item. 
  • Lift
    • Measures the strength of the relationship between the focus and other item: 
    • Lift = 1: No relationship (occurs together randomly). 
    • Lift > 1: Positive relationship (occurs together more often than random). 
    • Lift < 1: Negative relationship (occurs together less often than random). 
  • Category-Level Cross Analysis
    • Focus Category: Select a product category to analyze relationships with other categories within baskets. 
    • Cross Analysis Table: Displays cross-purchase percentages and lift metrics between categories. 
  • Brand-Category Level Cross Analysis
    • Focus Brand-Category: Select a brand within a specific category to analyze cross-purchases with other brands and categories. 
    • Cross Analysis Table: Identify relationships between the selected focus brand-category and other products. 
  • Product-Level Cross Analysis
    • Focus Product: Select a product to analyze its relationship with other products frequently purchased in the same basket. 
    • Cross Analysis Table: Displays product-level relationships, showing purchase frequency and lift. 
  • Customizable Filters
    • Category Levels 1–5 
    • Brand House/Brand Filters 
    • Product Attributes: Item Weight, Strain, THC/CBD ranges, Cannabinoid Mix, and Live Extracts.
