Customize your own reporting
Custom Extracts is designed to allow users to pick and choose the data they want to generate their own custom reports.
Key Steps
Step 1: Access the Custom Extracts Dashboard

Navigate to the Custom Extracts dashboard.

Familiarize yourself with the tab structure to understand the flow of data selection.
Step 2: Select Date Details

Choose the time period for data analysis.

Options include:

Aggregate by:
-
Day
-
Week
-
Month
-
Quarter
-
Year
-
Total selected time period
- Aggregated the entire time period selected

Step 3: Choose Location Details

Select the level of location detail based on your access:

My locations aggregated (single row for all your retail locations).
-
My locations detail only (data points for each location).
-
Other location detail only (available for premium subscribers, pulls location level detail for other locations in competitive set).

All locations (available for premium subscribers, your locations + competitive set).

Note that all data for other locations in the competitive set is modeled data to protect retailer anonymity.
Step 4: Select Product Details

Choose product attributes to analyze
Step 5: Choose Metrics to Analyze

Select metrics for analysis

Choose change metrics:
-
Confirm the selected period for comparison (e.g., month).

This will determine the period over period break by. For example, if the chosen date aggregation is month, then "vs. prior period" will be vs prior month.

Step 7: Choose Table Type

Choose between two export options:
-
Unformatted table (CSV layout for further analysis in Excel or BI tools).

Customized table layout (select specific rows and columns for a tailored view).

Step 8: Customize Table Layout 3:18

Select desired rows and columns for your custom table:

Example: Level 1, Level 2, Brand as rows; Month as columns.

Export the customized table while retaining the new formatting.
Step 9: Filter Data 4:00

Use filter tabs to narrow down data by additional product attributes.
Step 10: Reset Selections 4:10

Click on 'Reset Selections' to start over.

Alternatively, reset only the rows and columns for the specific table.
