      Distribution Assistant

      Overview 

      The Distribution Assistant Dashboard is designed to provide cannabis brands, producers, and distributors with insights into product availability, inventory levels, and distribution efficiency across regions. By tracking stock levels, retail locations, and velocity trends, this dashboard enables users to optimize their supply chain, enhance retail relationships, and ensure product availability to meet market demand. 

      This tool is ideal for managing distribution performance, identifying stock gaps, and improving brand presence across territories. 

       

      Using the Dashboard 

      • Filters: Multiple filters allow users to customize their view for focused distribution analysis: 
      • Brand & Brand House: Narrow the data to a specific brand or parent organization to monitor performance and availability. 
      • Pack Size: Focus on product packaging sizes to identify trends in consumer demand and optimize distribution. 
      • States, Regions, and Locations: Select territories at varying levels of granularity to target specific markets or geographies. 
      • Categories: Filter by product categories (e.g., Ingestibles, Inhalables) to analyze distribution performance for specific product types. 
      • Stock Levels: Focus on locations based on inventory status: 
      • All Stock Levels: View all inventory statuses. 
      • Out of Stock Brands/Products: Pinpoint gaps in availability for immediate action. 
      • Build Your Territory: Customizable territory selection enables users to define focus areas and save configurations for repeated analysis. 
      • Select Dates: Analyze trends over customizable timeframes, such as the past 13 weeks. 
      • Velocity Type: Toggle between Dollar Velocity and Unit Velocity to measure sales performance based on revenue or units sold. 

      Key Metrics Available 

      The Distribution Assistant Dashboard provides insights into the following metrics: 

      • Availability 
        • Tracks the percentage of dispensaries within a territory where the brand or products are available. 
        • Ensures broad coverage and highlights areas requiring distribution expansion. 
      • Inventory Levels 
        • Displays stock statuses across dispensaries: 
          • In Stock: Over 50% of products available. 
          • Partially Stocked: Less than 50% of products available. 
          • Out of Stock: No products available. 
        • Helps monitor and manage stock replenishment. 
      • Stock Outs 
        • Identifies brands or products with zero availability in selected territories. 
        • Provides actionable insights to resolve supply chain bottlenecks. 
      • % ACV (All Commodity Volume) 
        • A weighted measure of availability based on dispensary sales. 
        • Indicates the relative importance of a dispensary's sales contribution to brand availability. 
      • Velocity (Dollar & Unit) 
        • Measures sales performance based on revenue (Dollar Velocity) or units sold (Unit Velocity) across territories. 
        • Identifies high-performing locations and products for targeted distribution efforts.
