Overview of Global Filters, Quick Filters, Bookmarks & Territories

Global Filters, Quick Filters, Bookmarks & Territories

Global Filters:  The unified filter bar at the top of every GreenEdge dashboard. It lets you set your regions, dates, and other filters once, and those selections automatically carry over as you move between dashboards in the same session.

Where they're available:

  • Available in Analyst Suite, Business Suite, Sales Enablement, and Dispensary Playbook
  • Filters carry over across dashboards within the same product suite. They don't carry over from Analyst Suite into Business Suite, for example
  • Not currently available for Basket Analytics dashboards or Report Builder dashboards

Quick Filters: A saved combination of your Global Filter selections that you can name, save, share, and reload anytime, on any dashboard that supports the filter bar. You can set a Quick Filter as your default so it loads automatically every time you open GreenEdge, and manage your saved filters (edit or delete them) from a separate menu.

Bookmarks: A saved, dashboard-specific view that captures both set filters and chart display settings, like switching a chart from line to bar, or changing an axis unit, that Quick Filters don't save. Also required for automated/scheduled exports. If a dashboard has both a default Bookmark and a default Quick Filter, the Bookmark wins.

Territories: Available in Sales Enablement only, a way to group your data by custom-defined regions, rather than just by state, so you can compare performance across those regions at a glance within supported charts (for example, viewing account growth broken out by each sales rep's territory).

FAQ

Global Filters

Where is this available?
Analyst Suite, Business Suite, Sales Enablement, and Dispensary Playbook.

Do filters carry over when I switch reports?
Yes, within the same suite. They don't carry across suites. The Filters button shows a count (e.g. "Filters 4") of active fields.

Do they work in Report Builder or Basket Analytics?
No, set filters independently there.

Why do I see "null" values when I open a report?
You need at least one region applied first. Even after applying, there's a brief loading moment before real totals load.

How do I filter to specific counties or cities?
Expand a state in the checkbox tree, or click it on the map. Clicking a county opens a city-level picker with Select All / Clear All. Click Confirm to lock it in.

What's the number next to a state/county/city?
The count of retailers BDSA tracks there, not your selection. "Selected N location(s)" above the Regions field reflects your current selection.

What's the difference between Category/Brand and Additional Filters?
Category and Brand are always-visible primary filters; Category drills down by level. Additional Filters (Channel, Pack Size, Potency, Strain, etc.) are optional attributes and collapsible.

Channel vs. Market Type?
Channel = Adult Use or Medical. Market Type = market classification (Tier A or Tier B) for your selected state(s).

Brand House vs. Brand vs. Product Line?
Brand House owns multiple Brands; Product Line is a series within a Brand; Product is the individual SKU.

Quick Filters

How do I save my current filters?
Set filters, click Quick Filters (bottom-left), name it under My Quick Filters, click Save.

How do I reload one?
Pick it from the Current Filter dropdown, or Load it from the Quick Filters manager.

How do I rename, update, or delete one?
In the Quick Filters manager: pencil to rename, save icon to update, trash to delete.

What does Share do?
Makes it visible to teammates under their Shared With Me tab.

Where do I find teammates' or BDSA's presets?
Shared With Me, or BDSA Defaults tabs in Quick Filters manager.

What does Product Suite Default do?
Loads that Quick Filter automatically on login.

Bookmarks

How is this different from a Quick Filter?
Quick Filters save your Global Filter selections for reuse across dashboards. Bookmarks save chart display settings (chart type, axis units, etc.) on one specific dashboard, and are required for automated/scheduled exports.

If I have a default Bookmark and a default Quick Filter, which loads?
The Bookmark.

Do Bookmarks carry over between dashboards?
No it is tied to the dashboard they were saved on.

Territories

What does the Territory checkbox on a Quick Filter do?
Saves that preset's region selection as a reusable Territory, separate from the full filter combination.

Where do I find BDSA's pre-built Territories?
BDSA tab in the Quick Filters manager (e.g. "Colorado - Denver Metro Area").

Which suites support Territories?
Sales Enablement only

Troubleshooting

I changed a filter but the report didn't update.
Click red "Apply". Changes aren't automatic.

How do I undo unapplied changes?
Click Cancel to revert to your last applied filters.

How do I clear everything and start over?
Clear Filters (next to Quick Filters) + Apply - this keeps your Region selection. Reset Filters (where shown) resets everything, including Region.
