Where do I need to restock my products?

Calculate lost sales to prioritize product restocking in stores.

 

Key Steps

Step 1: Access Out-of-Stock Analysis 0:00

  • Navigate to the sales enablement dashboard.

  • Locate the out-of-stock analysis feature.

  • Review the product-level data to determine the stock status of each product (in-stock, out-of-stock, partially stocked).

 

Step 2: Identify Prioritization Needs 0:14

  • Understand that out-of-stock analysis helps identify where products are missing.

  • Note that this analysis does not prioritize which stores should be stocked first.

 

Step 3: Utilize Lost Sales Calculation 0:27

  • Click on the lost sales calculation feature located in the top corner of the dashboard.

  • Review the list of stores ordered by missed daily sales to identify top priorities for restocking.

 

Step 4: Analyze Top Stores 0:40

  • Compare the top two stores (e.g., Green Koi and Bizanzos).

  • Open the Lost Farm report to see details of out-of-stock products.

 

Step 5: Review Sales Data 0:49

  • Check the average daily sales for the last 28 days for each out-of-stock product.

  • Note how many days each product has been out of stock (up to 14 days).

 

Step 6: Calculate Total Missed Sales 0:56

  • Use the average daily sales and days out of stock to calculate total missed sales for each store.

  • Determine which store should be prioritized for restocking based on total missed sales.

 

Step 7: Compare Product Velocities 1:08

  • Compare the total sales loss between stores with multiple products out of stock.

  • Prioritize stores with higher dollar velocity products over those with more products out of stock but lower sales velocity.
